About Us

We are Josh and Katey Faubert, the proud new owners of Camp 113 – Finlayson Lake Resort. Along with our three children, we took a leap of faith—moving 1000 miles, leaving behind family, friends, and familiar surroundings—to move north in search of a new adventure and a life more closely connected to the outdoors.

Josh grew up in Southwestern Ontario, where his family owned and operated a ready-mix concrete business until its sale in 2012. From 2005 to 2026, Josh worked as an industrial millwright in a chemical plant, all while holding onto a long-standing dream of owning his own business and working for himself.

Katey grew up just 15 minutes away from Josh (though they didn’t meet until their late teens) on the shores of Lake St. Clair. Her parents managed a duck hunting lodge surrounded by marsh and farmland, where she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Katey began her nursing career in 2009 at a local hospital, spending much of her time in perioperative care, but also dreaming of something more.

The outdoors has always been home to us — hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time on the water shaped both of our upbringings. Being able to run a camp together, with our kids by our side, feels like coming full circle.

We’re so excited to welcome back returning guests, meet new faces, and create a place where families and friends can slow down, unplug, and make memories that last long after the trip is over. We’re grateful you’re here and can’t wait to share Camp 113 with you.
